Nancy walked the fire for the first time in 1996 as part of a training seminar with Anthony Robbins. The empowerment she felt
that day set her on a new path that took her very far away indeed from the corporate world where she spent 22 years of her life.
She started out on her journey by volunteering to help out an elderly woman named Goldie, following her desire to perform
"karma service"-- giving time and energy to others without the expectation of personal gain. But Nancy did gain a lot from
her time with Goldie, who helped inspire her to pursue more meaningful ways of finding fulfillment.
After much soul-searching, in 2001 Nancy left the IT company where she had worked for 14 years and held the position of
Vice-President of Marketing and Development. She began to experience the world through travel in search of ways to add more
meaning to her life. From 2002 to 2005, she studied and worked with the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York-- the largest
holistic wellness retreat in North America. At Omega, she became a certified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner.
In 2005, she joined Omega Teen Camp and dedicated her summer to working with 170 teenagers. One night at the camp, a
group of facilitators from the Netherlands was brought in to lead an empowerment program that ended with... a firewalk.
The energy, the power and the excitement of that evening hearkened back to Nancy's first experience almost ten years prior,
and she realized then that it was time to integrate her professional experience with her holistic training.
Most recently, Nancy studied with Peggy Dylan and her team at the Sundoor School of Transpersonal Education in California
where she became a certified firewalking instructor. Nancy presently resides in Canada and leads Fearlessflame Empowerment
Workshops throughout North America.
